BergHOFF Merlin All-in-One Corded Stick Vacuum,Detachable Handheld,Purple

The BergHOFF Merlin All-in-One Corded Stick Vacuum is a multi-surface cleaning tool designed for floor-to-ceiling pickup throughout the home and vehicle. Featuring a detachable handheld mode and a compact purple frame, it targets users who want one lightweight unit to handle hard floors, carpets, furniture, and car interiors without swapping between multiple specialized machines.

At the core of the vacuum is a 500-watt digital motor that automatically tunes its suction power to the surface beneath it. On rugs and carpets, it ramps up pickup strength for stubborn debris, while dialing down for hard surfaces like tile and hardwood, as well as delicate upholstery and curtains. Converting the unit is straightforward, as the removable stainless-steel handle detaches to transform the stick vacuum into a portable handheld cleaner.

Maintenance and filtration rely on a washable textile HEPA filter engineered to capture fine dust, pollen, and pet dander before clean air recirculates into your living spaces. The included attachment set expands its reach across distinct spaces, pairing a main floor brush with a dedicated crevice tool for tight corners and a compact upholstery brush for cushions and vehicle seats. Its slim profile also lets the floor head slide low beneath furniture.

A few practical limitations stem directly from the listed specifications. Because this model relies on a corded power connection, cleaning range is limited by proximity to wall outlets, though the listing does not state the exact cord length. The product details also omit the dust container capacity, so frequent emptying may be necessary during longer cleaning sessions. Additionally, while the textile filter is washable, users will need to allow time for it to dry completely before reusing the unit.

Verdict: The BergHOFF Merlin is a practical choice for apartment owners and households seeking a versatile, lightweight vacuum with built-in HEPA filtration. Its automatic suction adjustment and quick handheld conversion make it well suited for everyday floor and upholstery care. Anyone requiring cordless operation or high-capacity dust collection should consider larger specialized models.
