BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner, 3588F

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner, model 3588F, is an upright deep cleaner engineered specifically to handle stubborn pet messes, embedded dirt, and lingering household odors. Equipped with dual power brushes and dedicated pretreating features, it targets everything from everyday foot traffic to severe organic stains on carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. It suits pet owners and busy households that need both high intensity stain removal and rapid drying options.

Deep cleaning capability is centered around the Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes, which use two brush rolls to double the scrubbing action against embedded grime. For tough spots such as cat urine or skunk smells, the integrated CleanShot Pretreater sprays OXY formula directly onto targeted areas prior to deep cleaning. When time is limited, switching to Express Clean Mode allows carpets to dry in about 30 minutes, while MAX Clean Mode delivers full power for heavy restoration.

Maintenance and above-floor cleaning are streamlined by several built-in design features. An 8-foot hose connects to either the 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool or the 3-inch Tough Stain Tool, allowing you to pick up wet and dry pet hair from furniture, pet beds, and stair treads. After cleaning, the one-piece brush roll cover removes easily so you can rinse out collected debris. To keep the machine fresh over time, antimicrobial brush rolls and the FreshStart Dirt Tank help suppress odor buildup inside the unit.

While feature rich, there are a few practical trade-offs to keep in mind. The attached hose length is fixed at 8 feet, which may require moving the main unit closer when navigating longer staircases. Additionally, the manufacturer specifications do not state the exact water tank capacity, overall machine weight, or electrical wattage, so users cannot gauge fluid capacity or total weight prior to use.

Verdict: The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus is a versatile carpet washer for homes coping with tough pet messes and heavy foot traffic. Its combination of direct spot pretreating, dual brush rolls, and specialized upholstery attachments makes it a dependable choice for deep carpet and fabric maintenance.
