BLACK+DECKER 40V MAX Hedge Trimmer, Cordless, 24-Inch Blade, Battery and Charger Included (LHT2436)

The BLACK+DECKER LHT2436 40V MAX Hedge Trimmer is a battery-powered yard tool designed to shape bushes, hedges, and garden plants without the hassle of outdoor extension cords. Equipped with a 24-inch blade and a rechargeable 40V lithium-ion battery system, this trimmer suits homeowners looking to manage larger yard perimeters efficiently.

The 24-inch dual-action blades allow you to trim wide sections of hedging in fewer passes while cutting with noticeably less vibration. With a 3/4-inch cut capacity, the trimmer takes on thicker branches without binding or stalling. For physical comfort during varied cutting angles, the wrap-around front handle offers balanced leverage whether you are shaping hedge tops horizontally or trimming side walls vertically. The full-length trigger and soft-grip handle further reduce hand fatigue during larger yard tasks.

Power management is straightforward thanks to an onboard state of charge indicator that lets you check battery levels before starting a job. A full battery charge provides enough runtime to clear up to 6,000 square feet of actual hedges. In terms of trade-offs, the system operates at a 36V nominal voltage under normal workloads despite its 40V maximum initial rating. Additionally, while the battery and charger are included, the manufacturer does not specify the exact recharge time or overall weight in the provided details.

Verdict: The BLACK+DECKER LHT2436 is a practical choice for property owners who need extra reach and power for wide hedge lines. Its generous blade length, high cut capacity, and wrap-around handling make quick work of routine yard maintenance.
