BLACK+DECKER Electric Chainsaw Corded, 18-Inch, 15-Amp Lightweight Chain Saw with Automatic Oiler (CS1518)

The BLACK+DECKER CS1518 is a corded electric chainsaw built for household tree pruning and yard cleanup. Featuring a 15-amp motor and an 18-inch bar, it provides steady electric power for cutting branches up to 18 inches thick without dealing with gas refilling or battery charging.

Operation is straightforward thanks to a simple push-button startup system. Maintenance is streamlined with a tool-free chain tensioning system that lets you eliminate chain slack without extra tools. The automated chain oiler continuously lubricates the bar while a built-in window allows clear visibility of your oil supply. For protection during work and storage, it features a low-kickback bar and chain design, an extension cord retainer to prevent unwanted unplugging, and an included guide bar scabbard.

As a corded electric tool, your work range is limited by the length of your extension cord and proximity to an outlet. Cutting capability is also capped at branches up to 18 inches thick. Additionally, the product listing does not state whether bar and chain oil is included in the package.

Verdict: This corded chainsaw is a practical choice for homeowners who need a reliable, low-maintenance tool for pruning and trimming around the yard. Its quick startup and tool-free chain adjustments make it well suited for direct outdoor task management near a power source.
