DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Shop Vac, Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner, Portable 2 Gallon Wet Dry Vac, Strong Suction Shop Vacuum with Hepa Filter, Tool Only (DCV580H)

The DEWALT DCV580H is a portable 20V MAX cordless wet dry vacuum built for quick cleanups around the garage, vehicle, or jobsite. Powered by DEWALT battery packs, it eliminates the need to search for electrical outlets when clearing dry debris or draining standing water.

Filtering performance is a major strength, featuring an easily accessible HEPA filter that captures fine particles down to 0.3 microns at 99.97% efficiency. The filter is both washable and reusable for simpler maintenance. For liquid jobs, the 2-gallon tank capacity offers enough storage to handle emergency plumbing tasks like emptying a clogged pipe or toilet. It comes equipped with a heavy-duty, crush-resistant 5-foot by 1-1/4 inch flexible hose, an Airlock-compatible crevice attachment, and integrated storage to keep accessories attached directly to the unit.

Buyers should note that this unit is sold as a tool-only package, meaning a 20V MAX battery and charger must be purchased separately if you do not already own them. Additionally, while the 2-gallon capacity keeps the body compact and easy to carry via its mounted handle, it will require more frequent emptying during larger jobs.

Verdict: This compact cordless shop vac is a practical addition for tradespeople and DIYers who already use the DEWALT 20V battery system. Its high-efficiency filter and portable design make it a great pick for routine car detailing, garage maintenance, and small liquid spills.
