DEWALT 20V MAX Shop Vacuum Wet and Dry, Shop Vac 2 Gallon, Cordless and Corded Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner, Wide Nozzle, Hepa Filter, Tool Only (DCV581H)

The DEWALT DCV581H is a portable 2-gallon shop vacuum designed for both wet and dry cleaning jobs across properties and jobsites. It addresses the need for quick liquid extraction and debris cleanup, making it suitable for tradespeople, homeowners, and DIYers managing small leaks, clogged pipes, or workshop messes.

Dual power options allow this vacuum to run plugged into a standard wall outlet or wirelessly using a 20V MAX battery. The unit features a 2-gallon tank capacity suitable for clearing out backed-up toilets or clogged plumbing line spills. Cleaning tasks are supported by a flexible 5-foot hose measuring 1-1/4 inches in diameter, alongside an included wide gulper nozzle and crevice tool. Upkeep is streamlined thanks to an easily accessible, washable, and reusable HEPA filter.

While the vacuum offers versatile dual-power operation, the required 20V MAX battery is not included and must be purchased separately if cordless functionality is needed. Additionally, reach is constrained by the 5-foot hose, which may require moving the unit frequently across larger spaces. The listing also does not state the weight or overall dimensions of the housing.

Verdict: This shop vacuum is a solid choice for anyone needing a flexible wet and dry cleaner for quick plumbing emergencies or jobsite spot cleanups. It is best suited for buyers who already own DEWALT 20V MAX batteries or who want the convenience of plugging into wall outlets.
