Hoover SmartWash Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner Machine with Spot Chaser Wand

The Hoover SmartWash Pet Carpet Cleaner Machine brings automatic cleaning technology to homes dealing with pet messes and stubborn carpet stains. It functions as an upright carpet washer that automates formula mixing, washing, and drying without needing manual triggers. This model suits pet owners who want an all-in-one carpet cleaning machine with specialized tools for spot treatment and detail work.

Operation is straightforward thanks to a motion sensing design. Pushing the machine forward automatically mixes solution and cleans the carpet, while pulling it backward engages extraction and auto-dry technology. HeatForce Technology applies warmth to assist extraction and help floors dry faster. For stubborn stains, the unit includes a detachable Spot Chaser Pretreat Wand that allows direct pretreatment on heavy traffic areas or fresh messes before running the main cleaner over the floor.

For pet-specific cleanup, the FlexForce Pet PowerBrushes scrub out dirt, debris, and pet messes while resisting leftover odors. The included package expands functionality beyond floors with an 8 foot hose and a dedicated Pet Tool for stairs and upholstery. An accessory storage bag keeps extra attachments organized, and sample bottles of Hoover pretreat and pet cleaner solutions are included in the box to get started right away.

While the automatic features streamline cleaning, the system is designed specifically for use with official Hoover carpet shampoo solutions like their Pet or Everyday formulas. As an upright cleaner equipped with an 8 foot hose and accessory bag, it requires storage space comparable to a standard vacuum. Additionally, the listing does not detail tank capacities or total machine weight, so buyers seeking exact liquid capacity measurements will need to keep that omission in mind.

Verdict: The Hoover SmartWash Pet is an ideal choice for pet owners seeking a trigger-free upright carpet cleaner with automated formula mixing and spot treatment capabilities. Its included hose, pet tool, and pretreat wand make it a practical home cleaning system for managing messes across carpets and upholstery.

A great fit if you:

• Have pets and need specialized brushes that resist odors while removing pet messes.
• Prefer simple push and pull operation without squeezing manual spray triggers.
• Want a built-in detachable wand for pre-treating tough carpet spots before full washing.

Consider something else if you:

• Prefer using generic or non-brand carpet shampoo formulas.
• Need an ultra-compact portable spot cleaner rather than an upright machine.
