Kenmore DS1030 Cordless Stick Vacuum Lightweight Cleaner 2-Speed Suction

The Kenmore DS1030 is a 24V cordless stick vacuum engineered to clean bare floors and carpets without the restriction of a power cord. Designed for everyday household cleaning, it suits homeowners and pet owners who need a lightweight machine capable of transitioning between hardwood, tile, linoleum, and carpeted surfaces.

One of the standout practical features on this vacuum is the Easycut nozzle system. Pressing a button on the nozzle clears tangled pet hair and debris from the agitator, eliminating the tedious chore of cutting wrapped hair off the brushroll with scissors. For steering around table legs and sofa edges, the floor head features swivel steering and integrated LED headlights that illuminate dirt tucked into dark corners and under furniture.

Power and versatility are managed through two speed options and a convertible design. The 24V battery provides up to 45 minutes of continuous operation on low mode, making it suitable for routine sweeps across bare floors. For above-floor chores like cleaning stairs, upholstery, or ceiling corners, the main unit converts into a detachable handheld vacuum weighing under three pounds. It comes supplied with a long crevice tool, a dusting brush, and a 2-in-1 combination tool to reach tight crevices and delicate surfaces.

There are a few practical trade-offs to keep in mind. The maximum 45-minute runtime applies specifically to the low speed setting, so running the vacuum on high speed for stubborn dirt will deplete the battery faster. Charging the 24V battery requires under five hours using the portable adapter and included charging stand, meaning you should keep the unit docked between cleaning sessions.

Verdict: The Kenmore DS1030 is an ideal cleaning tool for pet owners and multi-floor homes looking for a convenient, lightweight cordless vacuum. Its quick brushroll tangle removal, detachable hand vac mode, and included accessories make daily mess management straightforward and stress-free.
