Makita GBU01Z 40V max XGT® Brushless Cordless Blower, Tool Only

The Makita GBU01Z 40V max XGT Brushless Cordless Blower is a bare tool designed for clearing yard waste, leaves, and job site debris without relying on gas. Powered by a brushless motor, it caters to outdoor cleanup projects that require high air volume and mobility.

The blower generates air speeds up to 143 MPH and volume reaching 565 CFM. For stubborn piles or wet leaves, activating turbo boost mode pushes maximum airflow to break up heavy debris. Makita equips this unit with XPT construction, providing increased resistance to dust and water when working in harsh outdoor environment conditions.

A notable consideration is that this item comes as a bare tool only, meaning a compatible 40V max XGT battery and charger must be purchased separately if you do not already own them. Additionally, reaching the full 565 CFM airflow capacity requires switching into turbo boost mode rather than running continuously on standard settings.

Verdict: This cordless blower is ideal for users already invested in the Makita 40V max XGT system who need gas-equivalent blowing power for tough cleanup tasks. It offers robust air speed and weather resistance for demanding job site or yard maintenance.

• Power Source: 40V max XGT battery platform (tool only)

Does this blower come with a battery and charger included?
No, this model is sold strictly as a bare tool. You will need to provide a compatible Makita 40V max XGT battery and charger to run the tool, making it ideal if you already own products in the 40V max XGT lineup.

What kind of blowing output does the motor produce?
The Makita-built brushless motor delivers maximum air speeds up to 143 MPH. For stubborn or heavy debris clearing, engaging the turbo boost mode increases air volume up to 565 CFM, supplying up to 55 percent more blowing force than a gas powered blower.

How protected is the unit against dust and water exposure?
It features built-in XPT engineering for added protection. This technology offers increased dust and water resistance to keep the tool working in tough outdoor weather and harsh job site conditions.
