Shark Cordless Pet, Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum Cleaner, IY143H

The Shark Cordless Pet IY143H is a lightweight stick vacuum designed for pet owners who need quick, efficient cleanups across multiple surface types. Powered by a rechargeable battery delivering up to 40 minutes of runtime on a single charge, this cordless vacuum eliminates the hassle of searching for outlets or dragging cords from room to room.

At the heart of the vacuum is the Turbo Pro brushroll, engineered for deep agitation and pet hair pickup. Shark incorporates FloorDetect technology, which senses the surface beneath the vacuum in real time and automatically adjusts the brushroll speed between hard floors and carpets without requiring nozzle changes. Additionally, the self-cleaning brushroll actively removes pet hair and long strands while cleaning, preventing hair wrap around the roller so you do not have to stop and clear tangles manually.

For above-floor mess, the main body easily converts into a handheld vacuum. The unit comes equipped with a Crevice Tool for tight spaces and baseboards, along with a Pet Multi-Tool designed for furniture and soft surfaces. Bright LED headlights built into the nozzle illuminate dark areas under furniture to reveal hidden debris. For dust control, an advanced HEPA filter with Complete Seal technology traps over 99.97% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum during operation, paired with a one-touch debris disposal system for easy emptying.

While the vacuum offers versatile cleaning features, buyers should consider a few limitations based on its design specifications. The maximum 40-minute runtime applies to standard cleaning and may decrease under heavy use, making it best suited for targeted cleanups or moderate-sized homes rather than continuous whole-house cleaning. Additionally, the listing does not specify exact dustbin capacity or battery charge times.

Verdict: The Shark Cordless Pet IY143H is a practical choice for pet owners seeking an adaptable vacuum that automatically adjusts to different floor types without hair tangles. Its combination of HEPA filtration, handheld conversion, and specialized pet attachments makes it a solid daily cleaning tool for homes with shedding pets.
