Shark WANDVAC Cordless Hand Vac, Black, WV201BK

The Shark WANDVAC Cordless Hand Vac WV201BK is a compact hand vacuum designed for fast spot-cleaning around the house and inside vehicles. Weighing just 1.4 pounds, this handheld device offers an ultra-lightweight solution for picking up daily dry messes, food crumbs, and stray pet hair without needing to lug out a full-sized floor vacuum.

Under the hood, a high-speed brushless motor delivers strong cordless suction in a slim profile. The minimal weight allows for easy maneuverability along high shelves, curtains, and furniture. To handle specific tasks, the vacuum includes two targeted attachments: a Mattress Tool designed for lifting stubborn pet hair from carpets and soft upholstery, and a Duster Crevice Tool meant for zeroing in on narrow gaps, cushion seams, and car interiors.

Everyday storage and upkeep are built for convenience. The included sleek charging dock keeps the hand vacuum stored upright and constantly charging, ensuring it is always ready whenever quick cleanups are needed. A clear LED light on the control panel displays both charging status and remaining battery life. Once cleaning is finished, the single-touch empty button lets you dump collected debris directly into the trash bin without getting your hands dirty. General maintenance is also straightforward thanks to the detachable dust cup and easily removable filter housing.

A few practical trade-offs come with such a lightweight handheld design. Given the compact 1.4-pound frame, the integrated dust cup holds a limited amount of debris, requiring regular emptying during messy cleaning sessions. Furthermore, while the built-in LED indicator monitors power levels, the manufacturer specifications do not state the exact battery runtime in minutes or the precise charging duration.

Verdict: The Shark WANDVAC is an excellent pick for pet owners, car owners, and busy households looking for a quick, portable cleaning tool. Its light weight, dedicated accessories, and convenient dock make it ideal for handling small daily messes on demand.

A great fit if you:

• Need a lightweight 1.4-pound vacuum for quick everyday pickups on furniture and high surfaces.
• Have pets and need to lift fur from upholstery using a specialized mattress tool.
• Want a compact hand vac with a dedicated charging dock for instant grab-and-go availability.

Consider something else if you:

• Require a large dust cup capacity for heavy-duty house cleaning without stopping to empty.
• Need a vacuum with specified battery runtime figures for long, continuous cleaning sessions.
