Shop-Vac 4 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac with Blower, SVX2 Motor

The Shop-Vac 4 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac with Blower provides a versatile cleanup tool for homeowners needing both wet and dry debris extraction in a manageable footprint. Powered by an upgraded SVX2 motor system, it combines serious suction capabilities with a compact shape that is easy to store between projects. It suits anyone looking to handle liquid spills, workshop sawdust, or garage mess without wrestling with a bulky commercial machine.

At the heart of the vacuum is its 5.5 Peak HP motor, designed with SVX2 technology to deliver stronger performance and longer motor life than standard models. Cleaning reach is a major highlight, as the unit features a 20-foot power cord coupled with an 8-foot Lock-On hose. This total reach allows you to clean large garage floors or vehicle interiors without having to constantly unplug and relocate to a closer electrical outlet.

Versatility comes standard thanks to dual functionality and a robust accessory kit. Attaching the hose to the rear exhaust port instantly converts the unit into a blower to clear leaves and loose dirt from hard-to-reach spots. Out of the box, it includes seven attachments, including two extension wands, a multi-purpose floor nozzle, a standard floor nozzle, a utility nozzle, a round brush, and a crevice tool. It also packs a three-part filtration system featuring a cartridge filter, a filter bag, and a foam sleeve to handle distinct types of wet or dry messes.

There are a few trade-offs to keep in mind given the compact design. The 4-gallon capacity keeps the weight down and fits neatly into small storage spots, but it means you will need to empty the tub more frequently during heavy-duty cleanups or large liquid spills. Additionally, the 1-1/4 inch diameter hose is well suited for general household airflow, but it may restrict chunkier items compared to larger industrial hoses. The listing also does not mention if the unit includes onboard accessory storage.

Verdict: This compact wet/dry vacuum is an excellent choice for homeowners, DIY hobbyists, and vehicle owners who need powerful suction and blowing capability without sacrificing storage space. Its generous cord length, comprehensive attachment package, and dual modes make it a highly practical addition to any garage or workshop.
