YARDMAX YL2250 22 in. 170cc Gas Walk Behind String Trimmer Mower, Orange

The YARDMAX YL2250 is a 22 inch walk behind string trimmer mower powered by a 170cc gas engine. Designed to clear thick grass and overgrown weeds around larger properties, it bridges the gap between a standard lawn mower and a handheld string trimmer.

Its offset head position lets you trim directly alongside fence lines, barn walls, and garden boundaries without pivoting the machine back and forth. Big 14 inch ball bearing wheels move smoothly over rough terrain. For tailored cutting, you can adjust the deck across 5 tool-free heights between 1.5 and 3.5 inches, while an onboard cord caddy keeps extra string handy during work.

Because this model relies on a 170cc gas engine, users need to manage regular gas and oil maintenance rather than plugging in or charging a battery. The offset head is permanently aligned to simplify straight trimming runs, which means maneuvering tight backwards turns in enclosed spots requires extra attention.

Verdict: The YARDMAX YL2250 is a practical choice for homeowners who need to trim long fence lines, property borders, and rough areas quickly. Its combination of large wheels and tool-free height settings makes outdoor clearing straightforward and manageable.
