ZIKUPOL Root Shovel Garden Spade Shovel with Double Serrated Blades for Trenching, Digging,Planting,Metal Detecting,46 Inches

The ZIKUPOL 46-Inch Root Shovel is designed for gardeners, landscapers, and metal detectorists who frequently work in stubborn soil and root-dense ground. Clearing away small tree stumps, cutting brush, or digging trenches can stall standard flat spades. This tool combines a narrowed shovel profile with cutting edges to slice through underground obstructions without disrupting surrounding plants.

At the heart of the design is a V-shaped head made from AISI 1053 carbon steel. The blade measures 12 inches long by 6.7 inches wide and features double serrated edges designed to penetrate hard soil and saw through small roots on contact. A powder-coated finish protects the steel against rust and corrosion during wet outdoor work. The 46-inch overall length is supported by a sturdy fiberglass handle that handles heavy leveraging without flexing like traditional wooden handles.

User comfort and force application are built directly into the shovel frame. An upgraded PP and TPR grip delivers anti-slip control and shock absorption to reduce hand fatigue. Near the base of the blade, a widened footrest features raised anti-slip patterns. This gives you a stable stepping platform to push the serrated edge deep into dense dirt or clay using your full body weight.

While built for tough tasks like tree planting, trenching, and root removal, the shovel weighs 4 pounds. This mass helps drive the blade into compacted ground, but users looking for an ultra-light hand tool for basic potting might find it heavier than necessary. Additionally, the listing does not state whether the shovel includes a blade sheath or protective cover for storage.

Verdict: The ZIKUPOL Root Shovel is an excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts and gardeners who regularly tackle root-filled soil and trenching tasks. Its carbon steel serrated blade and sturdy fiberglass handle make it a dependable workhorse for demanding landscaping projects.
