Detailed Review
The Armor All VO405P 0901 is a compact 4-gallon wet and dry shop vacuum designed for quick cleanup tasks around the home, garage, basement, or vehicle. Equipped with a 2.0 peak HP motor delivering 660 watts of power, it handles liquid messes and dry dirt without taking up much storage space.
Mobility and reach are central to its design. It pairs a 15-foot power cord with a 6-foot hose, allowing you to clean higher surfaces or distant corners without constantly moving the machine. Rolling casters on the wheel base and a top carrying handle make it simple to transport across workshops, car washes, laundry rooms, or woodshops.
Setup is straightforward straight out of the box, requiring only snapping on the casters and piping. The vacuum includes specialized nozzles and a brush attachment to meet different cleaning needs. Additionally, the machine easily converts to a blowing mode when you need to clear loose dust from surfaces rather than vacuuming it up.
In terms of trade-offs, the 4-gallon polypropylene tank is built for small to mid-sized messes, meaning massive cleanup projects will require frequent emptying. Furthermore, while the vacuum handles daily debris, dust bags are not included in the main package and must be purchased separately if your work requires them.
Verdict: The Armor All 4-gallon wet/dry vac is a practical choice for homeowners and vehicle detailers needing a portable suction tool for daily messes. Its combination of wet/dry pickup, blowing capability, and simple setup makes it a useful asset for shops, garages, and basements.
