BISSELL Little Green HydroSteam Portable Carpet Cleaner, 3618

The Bissell Little Green HydroSteam 3618 is a portable carpet cleaner designed to lift set-in stains and tough, stuck-on messes from fabrics and hard surfaces. Combining steam technology, targeted suction, and OXY cleaning formula, it offers a mobile solution for pet owners, vehicle owners, and homeowners tackling isolated spills on carpets, stairs, auto interiors, or furniture.

A key feature is the inclusion of three distinct cleaning modes. SteamWash mode combines steam and cleaning formula for tough, oily messes, while the standalone Steam mode refreshes upholstery and tackles hard surfaces like tile, grout, and sneakers. For traditional enzyme-based cleanups such as pet accidents, the Wash mode delivers direct liquid cleaning. Cleaning versatility is expanded with the included 5-inch Tough Stain Tool and the Multi-Surface Tool, allowing you to move between woven carpets, car interiors, and tile surfaces.

Convenience features help simplify routine stain management. The dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separated, featuring a 64-ounce clean tank capacity alongside a large removable dirty tank for straightforward emptying. When cleaning furniture, the system is designed to leave upholstery dry in approximately 30 minutes. The unit also includes a bottle of PET PRO OXY Spot and Stain formula with StainProtect technology, aimed at permanent stain removal and future stain prevention, while every purchase supports the Bissell Pet Foundation.

As a portable spot cleaner, this model is built for targeted mess removal rather than cleaning full wall-to-wall carpeting in a single pass. Users will need to manage two separate tanks during cleaning sessions, filling the 64-ounce clean tank and emptying the dirty tank when full. Additionally, handling both liquid and steam functions requires selecting the proper mode for each specific surface material.

Verdict: The Bissell Little Green HydroSteam 3618 is a versatile pick for households dealing with frequent pet messes, stained vehicle upholstery, or dirty grout lines. Its three cleaning modes and dual-tank setup make quick work of localized spots without requiring full-sized equipment.
