BLACK+DECKER Electric Hedge Trimmer, 16-Inch 3.0 Amp Compact Corded Power Hedge Trimmer (BEHT100)

The BLACK+DECKER BEHT100 Electric Hedge Trimmer is a compact, corded yard tool designed for trimming bushes and hedging around residential yards. Its smaller size and lightweight build target homeowners who want an easy-to-manage trimmer for routine shrub maintenance without handling heavy equipment.

Powered by a 3.0 amp motor, this trimmer drives a 16-inch dual-action blade made from hardened steel. The dual-action blade design reduces vibration compared to single-action BLACK+DECKER models, giving you a smoother cutting action. It handles branches up to 5/8 inch thick, making quick work of small twigs and fresh hedge growth.

Handling is straightforward thanks to an integrated T-handle and a full-length trigger that provide a solid grip for controlled cuts. To prevent frustration while working around the yard, an onboard cord retention system keeps your extension cord securely anchored so it will not accidentally unplug mid-job.

As a corded electric unit with a 16-inch blade, it requires access to an outlet and is best suited for modest trimming tasks rather than thick branch clearing or expansive, tall hedges. Verdict: If you need a lightweight, manageable trimmer for maintaining small to medium shrubs and thin branches, the BLACK+DECKER BEHT100 offers practical features and a 2-year limited warranty for peace of mind.
