BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ 20V MAX Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with LED Floor Lights, Bagless, Lightweight, Cordless Vacuum Cleaners for Home, Up to 44 Minutes, Powerful Suction, Gray (BHFEA520J)

The BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ 20V MAX Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner (BHFEA520J) offers a convenient, bagless solution for everyday home cleaning. Designed to handle both hard surfaces and carpets, this lightweight stick vacuum frees you from dragging around a heavy cord while transitioning between rooms. It works well for homeowners and apartment dwellers who need a quick, versatile cleaner for floors, stairs, and furniture.

At the heart of the vacuum is AUTOSENSE technology, which automatically adjusts suction power based on the floor type you are cleaning. This smart adjustment optimizes performance, delivering up to 25% more pickup on carpet while extending battery efficiency for up to 44 minutes of runtime. Front-facing LED lights on the angled floorhead illuminate hidden dust under cabinets, while an anti-tangle brush bar keeps hair from wrapping tightly around the roller.

Usability is enhanced by several practical design choices. The vacuum features a front-facing dustbin that allows the unit to lie completely flat to reach deep under couches and beds. When you need to pause or store the vacuum, it stands upright entirely on its own, so you do not need to lean it against furniture or install a wall mount. Furthermore, the stick quickly converts into a portable handheld vacuum paired with an included crevice tool for detailed spot cleaning along edges, stairs, and upholstery.

There are a few trade-offs to keep in mind. While the battery provides up to 44 minutes of cleaning, actual runtime will vary based on power demands and surface types. Additionally, the vacuum relies on cyclonic filtration to keep the filter performing well, but the listing does not detail dustbin volume capacity or specific filter replacement schedules. The included accessory kit is also basic, featuring only a crevice tool.

Verdict: The BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ is a practical, self-standing cordless vacuum ideal for daily floor care across mixed surfaces. Its automatic suction adjustment, lay-flat profile, and easy conversion to a hand vac make it a strong candidate for quick household cleanup routines.

A great fit if you:

• Need a cordless vacuum that stands upright on its own without leaning or mounting
• Clean mixed flooring like hardwood and carpets with automatic suction adjustment
• Want to reach tight spaces under low furniture using a lay-flat design and LED headlights

Consider something else if you:

• Require a large set of specialized attachment tools for detailed cleaning
• Need predictable full-power runtime across extensive square footage without battery management
