Detailed Review
The CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Stick Vacuum (CMCVS501M1) provides versatile everyday cleaning for homes with mixed flooring types. Built to handle everything from quick kitchen spills to stair treads and car interiors, this lightweight cordless unit eliminates the hassle of dragging around a corded vacuum. It comes complete with a V20 battery, charger, crevice tool, and extension wand, making it a practical choice for everyday household chores.
At the core of this vacuum is a brushless motor that delivers up to 2.5 times the suction power of previous models. An upgraded floorhead design helps capture loose debris, such as spilled morning cereal, without pushing it across hard floors or tile. Users can toggle between three speed settings to prioritize maximum suction or conserve battery life for extended runtime. Additionally, the integrated beater bar is engineered to cut down hair tangles by up to 70 percent, reducing manual brush maintenance.
Cleaning around tight spaces, dark corners, and vehicle interiors is straightforward thanks to built-in LED headlights, a crevice tool, and an extension wand. It operates across carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl surfaces. For routine upkeep, the quick-release dust bin empties easily, and the included filter is washable. One trade-off to consider is that operating the vacuum on its highest speed setting will draw more power and reduce runtime compared to lower speed modes.
Verdict: The CRAFTSMAN V20 Stick Vacuum offers practical, multi-surface cleaning performance for hard floors, carpets, stairs, and vehicles. It is recommended for home owners looking for an easy-to-maintain cordless vacuum that integrates into the CRAFTSMAN V20 battery ecosystem.
