DEWALT 60V Cordless String Trimmer with Battery & Charger Included, 17 Inch, Attachment Capable (DCST972X1)

The DEWALT 60V Cordless String Trimmer (DCST972X1) offers high-power lawn trimming without the hassle of fuel or extension cords. Including a 60V battery and charger, this trimmer gives homeowners a self-contained cutting system designed for tackling grass and edging around property borders.

At the heart of the tool is a high-performance brushless motor that drives a dual-line cutting head. You can adjust the cutting swath between 15 inches and 17 inches depending on whether you prioritize runtime or maximum cutting coverage. The head uses a quick-load spool that simplifies re-spooling, operating on 0.080-inch line while also supporting thicker DEWALT 0.095-inch line for heavier trimming tasks.

To manage power usage, the trimmer features a variable speed trigger alongside dedicated high and low speed control modes. It also includes DEWALT universal attachment capability, allowing you to swap out the trimmer head for other compatible add-on tool pieces on the same powerhead.

In terms of trade-offs, the product specifications do not state the exact battery capacity or total weight of the tool. Verdict: The DEWALT DCST972X1 is a solid choice for homeowners looking for a powerful 60V cordless trimmer with flexible cutting widths and attachment capability. It works best if you want an all-in-one package that includes the battery and charger.
