EGO POWER+ 15" Cordless Weed Trimmer with Battery and Charger - ST1502SA

The EGO Power+ ST1502SA is a 56V cordless string trimmer engineered for clearing grass and managing yard cleanups without needing a power cord. Supplied as a complete kit with a 2.5Ah battery and CH2100 charger, this electric trimmer offers an accessible solution for standard lawn care tasks. It fits homeowners who want reliable trimming performance backed by strong warranty coverage.

At the core of its cutting performance is a 15-inch cutting swath paired with professional-grade 0.095-inch cutting line. This wide swath helps you clean up lawn boundaries efficiently on each pass. Line replacement is simplified through the built-in Rapid Reload head, which allows you to load new line quickly when needed. The tool also incorporates variable speed control, giving you the flexibility to match motor speed directly to your immediate working situation.

Power is supplied by a high-efficiency brushless motor that provides low vibration during use, enhancing user comfort while contributing to long-term reliability and tool lifespan. The included 2.5Ah battery yields up to 45 minutes of runtime on a single charge. When power runs out, the included EGO POWER+ Charger (CH2100) fully recharges the battery in 50 minutes. Furthermore, the trimmer operates on the EGO 56V ARC Lithium battery platform, meaning the tool works with any EGO 56V battery, and the bundled battery works across all EGO power tools.

In terms of trade-offs, runtime is limited to up to 45 minutes per charge with the included 2.5Ah battery, which means extensive property maintenance might require downtime or extra batteries. Additionally, while EGO provides a 5-year tool warranty and a 3-year battery warranty, the product specifications do not state the total weight of the unit or whether a shoulder strap is included in the package.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ ST1502SA is a practical choice for homeowners who want standard yard maintenance without cord constraints. Its combination of a 15-inch cutting swath, fast 50-minute charging, low-vibration brushless motor, and battery platform compatibility makes it a versatile asset for yard work.
