EGO POWER+ 16" Cordless Weed Trimmer with Battery and Charger - ST1623T

The EGO POWER+ ST1623T 16-inch cordless weed trimmer brings automatic line management and high-efficiency battery power to routine yard care. Designed for homeowners who want to maintain clean lawn edges without wrestling with pull cords or manual line bumps, this model combines a brushless motor with smart line features. It offers a modern solution for trimming around fence lines, garden beds, and hard-to-reach landscape borders.

At the heart of the trimmer is Line IQ technology, an auto-sensing system that monitors and feeds line automatically to maintain a steady 16-inch cutting path without needing to bump the head on the ground. When it comes time to re-string, the Powerload feature lets you feed line into the head and press a button to auto-wind it into place. The telescopic shaft uses carbon fiber construction, allowing quick length adjustments so users of different heights can trim comfortably.

Power comes from an efficient brushless motor that keeps operating vibration low while extending motor lifespan. A digital variable speed selector lets you adjust trimmer speed based on grass density and workload. The included 4.0Ah 56V ARC Lithium battery delivers up to 60 minutes of operation on a single charge and recharges completely in 55 minutes using the included CH3200 charger. Because the battery is part of the EGO 56V platform, it swaps freely into other tools from the brand.

While the features simplify operation, a few practical limits exist based on the specifications. Maximum runtime tops out at 60 minutes per charge depending on the chosen speed level, so larger properties may require pausing for a recharge or using additional batteries. Additionally, the line auto-winding and feeding mechanisms rely on proprietary EGO head systems, and full battery interchangeability is restricted to tools within the EGO 56V ecosystem.

Verdict: The EGO POWER+ ST1623T is a practical, user-friendly string trimmer for homeowners seeking push-button line loading and continuous auto-feeding line features. Its adjustable shaft, digital speed control, and strong warranty backing make it a solid investment for routine lawn edging and trimming.
