EGO Power+ Hedge Trimmer Cordless, Electric Hedge Trimmer 26", Includes 56V 2.5Ah Battery and Charger - HT2601

The EGO Power+ HT2601 is a 26-inch cordless electric hedge trimmer designed for property owners who need to shape overgrown bushes and cut back thicker foliage around their yard. By combining battery-powered convenience with heavy-duty cutting capacity, this trimmer handles demanding landscaping chores without the hassle of a power cord. It comes complete with a 56V 2.5Ah ARC Lithium battery and charger so you can get to work right out of the box.

At the heart of the trimmer is a high-efficiency brushless motor that delivers up to 3,400 strokes per minute. This motor drive powers 26-inch dual-action steel blades capable of severing branches up to 1.2 inches thick. The long blade length covers more surface area in a single sweep, while the dual-action cutting motion helps lower vibrations during extended clearing tasks. Additionally, the tool features a carbon fiber rail with a lifetime warranty to protect the structure of the blade assembly over years of use.

Handling and user control are central to the HT2601 design. It features a five-position, 180-degree rotating handle that allows you to shift your grip when cutting horizontally, vertically, or along angled tops. Power comes from the included 56V 2.5Ah battery, which yields up to 60 minutes of continuous runtime on a single charge. If you already own other lawn equipment from the brand, the tool is fully compatible with all EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries.

There are a couple of practical trade-offs to keep in mind before buying. The included 2.5Ah battery tops out at 60 minutes of work, meaning homeowners with extensive hedge lines may need a spare battery or extra charging breaks to complete larger projects. Furthermore, while the fully serviceable gearbox allows for quick and easy blade sharpening to maintain peak cutting ability, it does mean the user will need to perform periodic maintenance as the steel blades wear down.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ HT2601 is an outstanding pick for homeowners who want a high-powered cordless trimmer capable of slicing through branches up to 1.2 inches thick. Its rotating handle and carbon fiber build make it ideal for tackling thick hedge walls efficiently.
