Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Purple

The Eureka PowerSpeed NEU182B is a bagless upright vacuum cleaner designed to handle whole-home cleaning across hard floors, carpets, and rugs. Weighing 10 pounds, it offers a lightweight alternative to heavy traditional vacuums without sacrificing debris pick-up. It suits homeowners and renters looking for an affordable, straightforward cleaning tool that can transition between different floor types and reach above-floor surfaces using attached accessories.

In daily operation, the vacuum relies on a dynamic motor and brush roll to pick up both stubborn dirt and heavy debris. Its 12.6-inch wide nozzle helps cover larger floor areas in fewer passes. A dial provides five height settings, allowing you to quickly adapt the brush roll clearance for bare hardwood floors, low-pile rugs, or thick shag carpets. Smooth wheels are built into the base to help protect delicate hardwood floors from scratches and gouges during movement.

For high-capacity cleaning, the vacuum features an extra-large 4.1-liter dust cup that minimizes trips to the trash can during extended cleaning sessions. When you need to reach beyond the floor, a quick-release handle connects to a stretch hose. The unit comes equipped with three specialized tools: a 7-inch crevice tool for tight gaps, a dusting brush, and an upholstery tool for pulling pet hair and dirt off furniture, curtains, car interiors, ceilings, and door frames. All accessories clip directly onto the vacuum body for convenient storage.

While the feature set covers essential home cleaning needs, there are a few practical trade-offs to keep in mind. The 10-pound upright body still requires manual height adjustments whenever you transition between hard surfaces and high-pile carpets. Additionally, the manufacturer listing does not mention details such as power cord length, total motor wattage, noise output, or HEPA filtration, so buyers seeking specific cord measurements or specialized allergen filters should take note.

Verdict: The Eureka PowerSpeed NEU182B delivers practical whole-home cleaning with a lightweight 10-pound frame, generous 4.1-liter capacity, and versatile attachment set. It is a solid choice for anyone seeking a capable, budget-friendly bagless upright for carpets, hard floors, and above-floor dusting.
