Field King 190515 Professionals Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer, 4 gal

The Field King 190515 Professionals Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer is a 4 gallon liquid applicator designed for landscape maintenance and weed control without manual pumping. Powered by an 18V Lithium-Ion battery, it delivers steady spraying pressure for yard care, freeing users from the repetitive arm strain standard pump sprayers demand.

At the heart of the system is a preset 40 psi pressure output delivering a flow rate of 0.2 gallons per minute when paired with the included 8002 nozzle. The 2.1 Ah battery runs for up to 4 hours or roughly 50 gallons of liquid per charge, and recharges in 3.5 hours with the included charger. A powder-coated steel frame gives the unit structural support, while Viton seals provide chemical resistance. A fully padded back harness distributes weight across the shoulders and back for long jobs.

Application options are straightforward thanks to four included nozzles: a brass adjustable tip, low volume flat fan, high volume flat fan, and a foaming nozzle. The unit also accepts standard tee jet nozzles for expanded spraying setups. A lockable shutoff on the 21 inch poly wand reduces hand fatigue, while a triple filtration system filters debris before it can clog the pump mechanism.

There are a few clear operational boundaries to keep in mind. The manufacturer explicitly states this unit is not designed for use with wettable powders, so users needing to spray dry powder suspensions will need a different tool. Additionally, while the interchangeable 18V battery runs for up to 4 hours, recharging takes 3.5 hours, so extra planning or spare batteries are necessary for continuous multi-tank projects.

Verdict: The Field King 190515 is an ideal choice for property owners and landscapers who want continuous spraying pressure without manual pumping. Its comfortable padded harness and selection of interchangeable nozzles make it well suited for large yard treatments and chemical application with liquid solutions.
