Greenworks 80V 54" MaximusZ Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower, (2) 16.0Ah + (4) 6.0Ah Batteries and 1.5kW Fast Charger

The Greenworks 80V 54-Inch MaximusZ is a heavy-duty battery-powered zero turn riding lawn mower designed for owners of large properties who want to cut grass efficiently without gasoline. Powered by electric brushless motor technology, it produces a 41HP gas equivalent output with instant torque, eliminating gas engine maintenance, fumes, and engine noise.

Cutting performance centers around a 54-inch 10-gauge fabricated steel deck powered by high-torque brushless hub motors. These motors maintain a constant blade tip speed of 17,900 feet per minute, while integrated SmartCut technology automatically adapts blade power to grass conditions so the mower does not bog down in thick or wet grass. The deck offers 14 height positions ranging from 1.5 inches to 4.5 inches, alongside a 4-in-1 capability for mulching, bagging, rear discharge, and side discharge.

Powering the mower is a comprehensive battery setup that includes two 16.0Ah suitcase batteries and four 6.0Ah batteries, offering enough capacity to cut up to 4+ acres on a single charge. When it is time to recharge, the included 1.5kW turbo fast charger rapidly repowers the full battery set to reduce waiting time between mowing sessions. For operator comfort during extended work, the mower incorporates an adjustable suspension seat with lumbar support and foldable armrests, paired with dual LED headlights, an LCD display, onboard USB charging ports, and a 4-year limited warranty.

Operating this machine comes with a few trade-offs inherent to its large-scale battery design. Managing and storing six total batteries alongside a high-output 1.5kW charger requires dedicated charging space and clear power setup. Additionally, while the listing highlights mulching, bagging, side, and rear discharge capabilities, specific bagging attachments or extra accessories are not detailed in the listing data.

Verdict: The Greenworks 80V MaximusZ is ideal for property owners maintaining up to four acres who want high cutting power without gas engine hassle. Its heavy-duty deck and high blade speed make it a capable option for large lawns, provided you have a proper space to house and charge its multi-battery system.
