Detailed Review
The Orbit B-hyve Smart Sprinkler Controller (model 57946) automates outdoor watering routines across up to six distinct landscape zones. Designed for homeowners looking to streamline lawn sprinklers and drip systems, this system moves irrigation management to an app-controlled interface so you can handle watering schedules without manual adjustments at the controller.
With its app interface, the controller allows you to build custom watering schedules, monitor specific zones, and make adjustments remotely from your device. The system supports multi-zone irrigation setups, making it easier to coordinate different areas of your yard, whether you are watering open grass with traditional lawn sprinklers or managing flower beds through drip systems. It is engineered to help conserve both time and water through automated irrigation schedules.
For flexible installation, the unit features a protective weatherproof case. This allows you to mount the controller in outdoor locations exposed to the elements, such as exterior house walls, as well as sheltered spaces like garages or sheds. It also comes backed by a two-year limited warranty covering material and workmanship defects for private home use.
While the controller manages multi-zone irrigation setups effectively, the product details do not specify the physical dimensions, power cord length, or specific wireless connectivity protocols. Setting up custom schedules and remote monitoring requires using the app interface rather than relying solely on physical controls on the unit itself.
Verdict: The Orbit B-hyve 6-Zone Controller is a practical choice for homeowners wanting automated control over lawn and garden watering systems. Its weatherproof design and remote app management make it well suited for coordinating up to six irrigation zones efficiently.
