Polaris Freedom Plus Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner for In-Ground Pools up

The Polaris Freedom Plus Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner delivers cordless cleaning for in-ground swimming pools without the hassle of tangled cords. By eliminating tethered power lines, this automated cleaner navigates across pool surfaces freely while giving pool owners multiple options to manage and retrieve the unit. It suits in-ground pool owners looking for an app-connected, cordless maintenance solution with versatile retrieval methods.

Managing the cleaner is simplified through dual wireless technologies. A hand-held remote uses LiFi technology to communicate underwater, allowing you to call the cleaner directly to the waterline for easy removal. As it reaches the edge, quick water release helps make lifting lightweight. In addition, the cleaner connects to home networks via WiFi and the iAquaLink app. This allows you to check charging progress, receive push notifications when cycles end, and select specialized cleaning modes whether you are home or away.

Keeping the cleaner charged and ready requires minimal effort thanks to the included outdoor-rated charging caddy. The caddy serves a dual purpose, acting as a transport cart to roll the cleaner to and from the pool area and as a docking station. Placing the cleaner onto the base and plugging it into a standard GFCI outlet achieves a full recharge in five hours or less. When a cleaning cycle finishes, you can retrieve the unit using the LiFi remote, wait for automatic waterline positioning at the end of a cycle, or use the included manual retrieval hook attached to a standard pole.

While the unit offers extensive control features, there are a few practical trade-offs to keep in mind. Using app notifications and remote status monitoring requires an active WiFi network in your pool area. Additionally, if you prefer using the manual hook for retrieval, you will need to supply your own standard pool pole, as one is not included in the package. The unit also requires up to five hours on its caddy for a full recharge between cleaning cycles.

Verdict: The Polaris Freedom Plus is a strong choice for in-ground pool owners who want cordless convenience paired with modern wireless controls. Its combination of app tracking, underwater LiFi remote call-up, and dedicated charging caddy makes regular pool maintenance convenient and manageable.

A great fit if you:

• Own an in-ground pool and want a cordless robotic cleaner.
• Want underwater remote control via LiFi to recall the unit to the waterline.
• Prefer monitoring cleaner status and selecting modes using a WiFi mobile app.

Consider something else if you:

• Do not have WiFi coverage available around your outdoor pool area.
• Need a pool cleaner that operates continuously without needing recharge cycles.

How do you get the cleaner out of the pool when it finishes?
