Shark Vertex Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, HEPA Seal, Silver/Rose Gold, AZ2002

The Shark Vertex AZ2002 Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is designed for whole-home cleaning across carpets, area rugs, and hard floors. It caters to households dealing with heavy pet hair, dust, and multi-surface floor layouts by combining upright power with detachable portability.

Floor cleaning relies on the DuoClean PowerFins dual-roller system, which pairs a soft roller with a flexible brushroll to dig deep into carpets while maintaining direct contact on hard floors. Active Glide technology helps the vacuum move smoothly across surfaces while maintaining strong suction. For pet owners, the self-cleaning brushroll actively prevents hair from wrapping around the roller as you clean.

Beyond standard upright vacuuming, the Lift-Away design lets you detach the motorized pod to clean under low furniture while keeping the brushroll powered. Detaching the nozzle transforms it into an above-floor cleaner for stairs, upholstery, ceilings, and couch cushions using the included Pet Crevice Tool and delicate Dusting Brush. Integrated LED headlights on the nozzle light up dark spots along baseboards and beneath beds. For sensitive households, an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal system works with a HEPA filter to trap 99.9 percent of dust and particles down to 0.3 microns inside the unit.

While the vacuum includes a spacious 1-quart dust cup for longer cleaning runs between empties, there are a few practical trade-offs to consider. The package comes with only two specialized attachments, so users looking for extensive accessory kits may need to source extra tools separately. Additionally, the listed details do not specify the weight, total power cord length, or sound level of the machine during operation.

Verdict: The Shark Vertex AZ2002 is a versatile upright cleaner well suited for pet owners and multi-floor homes that need strong suction and hair-wrap prevention. Its detachable motorized pod and sealed HEPA filtration make it a reliable choice for thorough ground-to-ceiling cleaning.
