Amazon Basics Wet Dry Shop Vacuum Cleaner, 6 Gallon, 3.5 HP Stainless Steel, with Filter, Grey/Black

The Amazon Basics Wet Dry Shop Vacuum Cleaner combines a 6-gallon stainless steel tank with a 3.5 HP motor to handle liquid spills and solid debris around the home, garage, or job site. Designed for floor and surface cleaning, this unit manages messy cleanups that standard household vacuums cannot process, making it a practical tool for workshop projects and household maintenance.

At the heart of the vacuum is a 3.5 HP motor capable of pulling dirty water, sawdust, and general rubbish straight into the durable stainless steel body. For dry cleanup tasks, you can install the included cartridge filter and dust bag to collect fine particles cleanly. When switching to liquid pickup, swap in the reusable foam wet filter to protect the internal components while suctioning standing water into the tank.

Usability features focus on convenience and maneuverability. A 12-foot power cord paired with a 7-foot locking hose provides a working radius across large rooms, while a built-in cord wrap keeps the cable tidy when stored. A contoured handle offers control when wheeling or lifting the unit. Five accessories, including a multi-surface floor nozzle, 2-in-1 utility nozzle, crevice tool, round dust brush, and two extension wands, store directly on the vacuum body for easy access during projects.

While the unit offers strong utility, buyers should note its specific physical dimensions and features. The included hose measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter, which is narrower than larger shop vacuum hoses. Additionally, operating the vacuum effectively requires swapping filters manually depending on whether you are cleaning wet liquid or dry debris.

Verdict: The Amazon Basics 6-Gallon Wet Dry Vacuum is a solid choice for homeowners and DIYers who need reliable liquid and debris cleanup in garages, basements, and light job sites. Its stainless steel build, comprehensive attachment set, and integrated storage make it a practical addition to any workshop setup.
