BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX String Trimmer and Edger 2 in 1, Cordless Weed Wacker with Auto Spool Feed, Battery and Charger Included, 12 Inch Steel Deck, Reduced Vibration (LST300)

The BLACK+DECKER LST300 20V MAX String Trimmer and Edger is a 2-in-1 cordless outdoor lawn tool built for property owners who want neat yard borders without gas powered hassles. Powered by a 20V MAX lithium ion battery, this electric grass trimmer starts quietly and easily at the push of a button, avoiding messy fuel mixing, oil spills, exhaust fumes, and hard pull cords.

Cutting performance is powered by a specialized POWERDRIVE Transmission that delivers 6200 RPM directly from the motor to the cutting string. This high-speed power transmission helps move line cleanly through grass and weeds over a 12-inch cutting swath so you finish yard work faster. To keep your work moving without stopping, the Automatic Feed Spool (AFS) automatically feeds new line when needed without requiring any ground bumping.

Versatility and comfortable handling are central to the tool's design. It easily converts from a standard string trimmer to a perimeter edger in just seconds, giving you dual-function capability in one device. The lightweight structure features an adjustable helper handle and height positions, allowing you to adjust the tool length and grip to fit your posture for maximum comfort and control.

The trimmer package comes complete with one 2.0 Amp hour 20V MAX lithium ion battery pack, which offers 33 percent more runtime per charge than the previous LBXR20 battery pack. It also includes a wall mountable charging base for simple power replenishment and neat storage, backed by a 2-year limited warranty. On the downside, having only one battery included means larger jobs might require waiting for a recharge, and the listing does not specify full battery charge times or exact unit weight.

Verdict: The BLACK+DECKER LST300 is a smart, convenient choice for homeowners seeking efficient lawn trimming and edging without gas engine maintenance. Its auto spool feeding, adjustable height, and lightweight dual-function design make routine yard care fast and straightforward.
