DEWALT Chainsaw Compact 5AH 20V DCCS620P1

The DEWALT DCCS620P1 Cordless Chainsaw provides a portable cutting solution for outdoor maintenance and light construction jobs. Built around a 12-inch bar and chain, this battery-powered saw helps users make quick cuts around the yard or job site without managing a gas engine or power cord.

At 9 pounds with the included 20V MAX 5Ah battery attached, the saw remains manageable during overhead trimming and repeated cuts. Its high-efficiency brushless motor helps maximize runtime and motor longevity. The system delivers up to 90 cuts on 4x4 pressure-treated wood per charge, while a tool-free chain tensioning knob allows fast bar clamping adjustments on the fly.

Because it relies on a 12-inch bar, this compact saw is designed primarily for lighter timber and construction lumber rather than felling large mature trees. Runtime depends on the included 5Ah battery pack, so heavier cut workloads may require extra batteries or recharging breaks during long work sessions.

Verdict: This cordless saw is an excellent choice for DIYers and contractors who need a lightweight, low-maintenance tool for yard cleanup and small construction tasks. If you want simple tool-free chain adjustments and portable cutting power for 4x4 lumber, it is a practical addition to your gear.
