CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Chainsaw, 12-Inch Electric Chainsaw, Battery Powered, Battery and Charger Included (CMCCS620M1)

The Craftsman V20 Cordless Chainsaw (CMCCS620M1) provides portable cutting power for yard maintenance, pruning, and light timber cutting without the hassle of gas cords or engine maintenance. Built around a compact 12-inch bar, this battery powered saw targets homeowners and DIYers who need to clean up branches or cut wood in tight outdoor spaces.

This model features an integrated bubble level that assists in keeping cuts level and accurate. Maintenance is streamlined through an automatic oiling system and tool-free chain tensioning, which allows adjustments without carrying extra hand tools around the yard. It comes supplied with a 4.0Ah battery pack for extended runtime and works within the broader V20 cordless tool platform, while also fitting the Versa-Track wall organization system for convenient storage.

While the tool is designed for convenience, the compact 12-inch bar inherently limits the diameter of logs or branches you can tackle in a single pass. Additionally, the automatic oiler requires periodic chain oil refilling to keep the bar running smoothly, and replacement chains (CMZCSC12) or bars (CMZCSB12) must be ordered separately when parts wear out.

Verdict: This chainsaw is an ideal match for homeowners already using or interested in the V20 battery platform who need a manageable tool for trimming and yard cleanup. Its low-maintenance setup and included battery make it ready for straightforward cutting tasks around your property.
