EGO POWER+ Chain Saw, 20” Battery Powered Chainsaw, Electric Cordless, Battery and Charger Not Included – CS2000

The EGO Power+ CS2000 is a high performance 20-inch cordless chainsaw designed for heavy duty yard work, limb clearance, and tree felling without gas engine maintenance. Built around a high efficiency brushless motor, it provides the output of a 55cc gas chainsaw alongside chain speeds reaching 25 meters per second. This bare tool model suits homeowners and property managers who already own EGO 56V batteries and need maximum cutting capacity for large tasks.

Equipped with a full chisel tooth chain featuring a 3/8-inch pitch, 0.050-inch gauge, and 69 drive links, this saw cuts cleanly through dense wood, thick stumps, and fallen timber. An onboard digital display replaces guesswork by showing your active speed mode, remaining battery charge level, and safety brake status right on the tool body. When paired with a recommended 6.0Ah battery, the saw delivers up to 135 cuts on 6x6 timber before needing a recharge.

For low light conditions, a front mounted LED work light illuminates the cutting path, making dusk cleanup or emergency tree work much clearer. The body also features an IPX4 weather-resistance rating, helping protect internal components when working in damp outdoor environments or changing weather.

Because this model is sold without a battery or charger, buyers new to the EGO platform must purchase those components separately before using the saw. Reaching the listed 135-cut rating requires a 6.0Ah battery, so using smaller capacity 56V batteries will result in fewer cuts per charge. Additionally, managing chain sharpness and standard chainsaw maintenance remains necessary for handling large cutting projects.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ CS2000 is an excellent choice for property owners who need serious 55cc gas equivalent power and already use EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries. Its clear digital feedback, 20-inch bar, and LED lighting make it a capable alternative to gas saws for demanding outdoor cutting tasks.
