Greenworks 40V 12 in Cordless Electric Chainsaw, 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger

The Greenworks 40V 12-inch Cordless Chainsaw provides a lightweight cutting solution for yard maintenance, storm cleanup, and camping trips. Designed for homeowners who need a manageable tool for pruning and wood cutting without the hassle of gas cords or heavy equipment, it comes packaged with a 2.0 Ah battery and charger.

Equipped with a 12-inch low-recoil chain, this chainsaw delivers up to 50 cuts on four-by-four-inch treated wood from a single charge. Operation is straightforward thanks to a dual safety start system combining a lock and trigger, while tool-free auto-tensioning lets you adjust the chain quickly on the fly. An automatic oiler helps keep the chain properly lubricated to extend its working life.

While its compact build and six-pound weight make it easy to carry, the 12-inch bar size naturally limits the diameter of logs you can cut in one pass. The included 2.0 Ah battery provides solid runtime for light tasks, though heavy clearing jobs may require extra charging cycles. Additionally, the listing does not specify the exact oil reservoir capacity.

Verdict: This cordless chainsaw is an excellent choice for campers, emergency prep, and homeowners needing a reliable tool for light pruning and storm cleanup. Its easy chain adjustment and multi-use battery make it a practical, user-friendly addition to any outdoor tool collection.
