Greenworks 48V (24V x 2) 17in Push Lawn Mower, (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries Kit

The Greenworks 48V 17-inch cordless push lawn mower combines two 24V 4.0Ah batteries to give homeowners a lightweight, gas-free option for maintaining smaller yards. It solves the hassle of mixing fuel, pulling starter cords, and breathing in exhaust fumes, providing an instant push-button start tailored for small to medium residential properties up to a quarter acre.

Its 17-inch poly deck is rust-resistant and 40 percent lighter than traditional steel decks, making the mower simple to push and steer around flower beds, trees, and tight yard boundaries. A single adjustment lever sets the cutting deck to five height positions from 1-3/8 inches up to 3-3/4 inches, giving flexibility for seasonal grass growth. Lawn care is versatile thanks to a two-in-one setup that allows operators to switch between mulching clippings back into the turf or collecting them with the rear bagging attachment.

Power comes from two 4.0Ah batteries that provide up to 45 minutes of continuous runtime per charge. The quiet electric motor allows for early morning or late evening mowing without disturbing surrounding neighbors. In addition, the included batteries are interchangeable with more than 200 tools in the Greenworks 24V lineup, including string trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.

As a trade-off, maximum battery run time depends on grass height, moisture, and user pace, meaning dense or overgrown lawns can shorten operating time. The 17-inch deck width and push design are optimized specifically for smaller spaces up to a quarter acre, so larger yards will require extra battery charges or a larger self-propelled unit. Buyers prioritizing heavy-duty metal construction should also note that this model uses a lightweight poly deck built for easy handling and wall hanging rather than steel construction.

Verdict: This cordless push mower is a practical fit for homeowners with up to a quarter-acre lawn who want an easy-to-maneuver, low-maintenance alternative to gas equipment. Its light weight, quiet operation, and shared battery compatibility make routine yard care convenient and straightforward.
