Detailed Review
The Shark StainStriker HairPro PX253BRN is a lightweight, portable stain cleaner built for clearing spills, embedded dirt, and pet hair across carpets, rugs, furniture, stairs, and vehicle interiors. Designed for pet owners and busy households, it combines focused suction with dual-formula liquid mixing to break down tough spots and remove deep odors.
Instead of relying on a pre-mixed liquid that can lose strength over time, this system fuses two separate formulas, Deep Clean Pet Formula and OXY Multiplier Formula, right as you spray. This delivers concentrated OXY stain removal that targets embedded messes and neutralizes stubborn odors like smoke and pet urine at the source. At the same time, the HairPro tool design captures three times more wet or dry pet hair without clogging the air path or tangling in the bristles.
The cleaner comes equipped with three distinct attachments to tackle different surfaces. A narrow crevice tool reaches into tight corners and seat seams, while the 3.5 inch stain eliminator handles everyday spots on rugs and cushions. For larger areas like stair treads or sofa cushions, the 7 inch XL stain eliminator speeds up coverage. When cleaning is finished, the built-in self-cleaning cycle flushes fresh solution and water through the hose and tools with a single click, eliminating manual hose scrubbing.
Weighing under 9 pounds, the unit is easy to carry around the home, but its compact build means it is intended for spot treatment rather than broad floor coverage. Additionally, maximizing its odor neutralizing and stain lifting features requires using the recommended Shark cleaning solutions included with the unit.
Verdict: The Shark StainStriker HairPro is an ideal choice for pet owners who need a compact, easy-to-store spot cleaner that handles hair without tangling. Its light frame and self-cleaning feature make it practical for quick cleanups on stairs, furniture, and car seats.
