Shark StainStriker Portable Carpet/Upholstery Cleaner, 4 Tools, PX202BRN

The Shark StainStriker PX202BRN is a lightweight, portable spot cleaner designed to tackle stubborn stains and trapped odors across carpets, area rugs, upholstery, carpeted stairs, and car interiors. Instead of relying on a single premixed liquid, it targets set-in spots using a dual-formula system that combines two solutions right when you spray. At under nine pounds, it offers a mobile cleaning solution for pet owners, parents, and anyone dealing with sudden spills around the house.

The core of its performance relies on fusing Shark Deep Clean Pro Formula with OXY Multiplier Formula upon contact. According to Shark, combining these formulas at the moment of application delivers twenty times more stain-eliminating power compared to using Deep Clean Pro alone. It also extracts stubborn lingering smells such as smoke and pet urine rather than merely masking them with scent when used as directed with the included cleaning solutions.

Versatility comes from four distinct attachments packed into the box. You get a 3.5-inch Stain Eliminator for tight spots, a 7-inch XL Stain Eliminator for covering wider areas quickly, a Crevice Tool for reaching deep seams, and a Pet Mess Extractor designed specifically for animal accidents. Powerful built-in suction works alongside these tools to pull embedded dirt and liquid out of deep carpet fibers so messes do not settle into fabric bases.

There are a few practical trade-offs to keep in mind before buying. Because the system relies on combining two separate formulas, you need to keep both the Deep Clean Pro and OXY Multiplier liquids stocked for full functionality. Additionally, the manufacturer specifications do not state the exact capacities for the clean and dirty water tanks, nor do they list the length of the power cord or hose.

Verdict: The Shark StainStriker PX202BRN is a practical choice for homeowners who need a lightweight, portable cleaner for spot treatment on furniture, rugs, and stairs. Its combination of specialized tools, deep suction, and dual formula technology makes it well suited for tackling pet messes and set-in spots quickly.
