Shop-Vac 5430162 Wet/Dry Vacuum with Blower, 5 Gallon, 4 Peak HP

The Shop-Vac 5430162 Wet/Dry Vacuum with Blower provides a versatile cleanup solution for homeowners needing to tackle everyday dirt, liquid spills, and outdoor debris. Driven by a 4 Peak HP motor, this utility vacuum handles workshop sawdust, garage floor messes, flooded basements, and dirty vehicle interiors. Its 3-in-1 design combines wet vacuuming, dry vacuuming, and a dedicated blower mode in a single compact machine.

At the heart of the unit is a 5-gallon tank, giving you enough volume to pick up larger messes without pausing constantly to drain or empty the bin. For maneuvering around work areas, the vacuum offers a 13-foot total reach using its 7-foot flexible hose and 6-foot power cord. You also get three extension wands to clean higher surfaces or get down into tight corners without straining or moving the main unit around repeatedly.

Out of the box, the vacuum comes ready to work with a complete accessory setup. It includes a wet/dry nozzle for general floor cleanup, a gulper nozzle for wider debris, and a narrow crevice tool for tight spaces. Maintenance is straightforward with the included filtration pieces, which comprise a foam sleeve, a cartridge filter, and a filter bag. An onboard tool holder keeps the accessories organized alongside the unit so components stay within easy reach during tasks.

While the unit offers strong utility, there are a few practical limits to keep in mind. The 6-foot power cord is relatively short, so you will likely need to stay close to an outlet or use an extension cord when working across wider driveways or large garage bays. Additionally, switching between wet vacuuming, dry pickup, and leaf blowing requires using the correct filter accessories and nozzle attachments, which adds a short preparation step when switching tasks.

Verdict: The Shop-Vac 5430162 is a practical choice for home workshop owners, garage handypeople, and vehicle owners who need reliable wet and dry pickup combined with blowing capability. Its 5-gallon capacity and versatile accessory set provide solid utility for routine home maintenance. It is ideal for anyone wanting an all-in-one cleanup tool without managing multiple separate machines.
