Detailed Review
The WORX WG801 20V Cordless Grass Shear & Shrub Trimmer combines lawn edging and shrub trimming into a single compact tool for yard upkeep. It suits homeowners who want a light tool to manage small bushes and grass borders without juggling separate dedicated devices.
The trimmer switches between a 4 inch grass shear blade and an 8 inch shrubbery blade using a push-button mechanism. You flip the unit, press the button, and slide off the faceplate to swap head attachments. The handle features a rubber overmold to absorb vibration during use, while the included 20V PowerShare battery can power over 75 other 20V, 40V, and 80V WORX tools.
Because this tool relies on 4 inch and 8 inch cutting blades, it is built for detailed shaping rather than heavy clearing across wide areas. Note that while it supports a pole extension, the extension itself is an optional accessory and is not included in the package.
Verdict: The WORX WG801 offers a convenient two in one setup for lighter lawn and garden maintenance. It is a solid pick for anyone who already uses the WORX PowerShare platform or needs a flexible trimmer for quick touch ups.
