WORX Cordless Lawn Mower, 40V 14" 2-in-1 Grass Mower for 1/8 Acre, WG779

The WORX WG779 Cordless Lawn Mower offers a hassle-free, battery-powered solution for homeowners managing smaller yards up to an eighth of an acre. Powered by two 20V 4.0Ah batteries that combine for 40V of performance, this push mower eliminates the fuss of gas engines, pull cords, and restrictive power cords. It suits anyone looking for a quiet, low-maintenance way to keep compact lawns neatly trimmed.

Operation is straightforward with a simple push-button start and bail handle mechanism. Integrated Intellicut sensor technology automatically monitors grass density, ramping up blade speed in thick turf and slowing down in lighter patches to conserve power. Operating at a low noise level of 87.8 decibels, it provides a quiet mowing experience. The included dual charger allows you to refresh both batteries simultaneously, while onboard charge-level indicators keep you updated on remaining power.

Weighing under 30 pounds, the mower is easy to maneuver up sloped terrain and around garden beds. Its compact 14-inch cutting deck fits into tight spots that larger mowers cannot reach. You can adjust the cutting height from 1.5 to 3.5 inches across six positions using a single lever. The mower converts easily between mulching with the provided plug and bagging into the 0.85-bushel collection bag, which features a full-bag indicator. For storage, the handle folds down completely, and an integrated carry handle simplifies moving the unit.

The primary compromise comes down to capacity. The 14-inch deck width and 1/8-acre recommended lawn size mean this mower is strictly designed for smaller properties. Mowing larger areas will require extra passes and battery recharges. Additionally, the 0.85-bushel collection bag will need frequent emptying if you are cutting longer grass.

Verdict: This cordless mower is an ideal pick for small-yard owners who value quiet operation, simple controls, and easy storage. If your lawn is under an eighth of an acre and you want a lightweight machine without gas maintenance, it delivers convenient cutting performance.
