Detailed Review
The BLACK+DECKER BESTE620 string trimmer and edger is a corded electric lawn tool designed for clearing overgrowth and defining clean property lines. Powered by a 6.5 amp motor featuring POWERDRIVE Transmission, it delivers dependable cutting action through tough grass and thick weeds without relying on rechargeable batteries or gas engines.
Convenience is central to the design, highlighted by an EASYFEED feature that advances trimming line with the push of a button, eliminating the need for ground bumping. Converting the 14-inch cutting deck into an edger requires just a simple head rotation, utilizing an integrated wheeled edge guide to track smoothly along pavement edges.
For user comfort, the trimmer features a lightweight construction with adjustable height settings and a customizable handle position. An integrated cord retention system prevents accidental power cord disconnections while you maneuver around the yard. Note that operating range is limited by your extension cord distance, and the listing does not state whether extra replacement line is included in the package.
Verdict: This corded 2-in-1 tool is ideal for property owners who want a straightforward trimmer and edger without managing battery charge cycles. It provides a comfortable, push-button feeding system that makes routine lawn trimming and driveway edging fast and manageable.
