BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Cordless String Trimmer and Edger, 12 Inch Weed Eater, 2-Speed Control Weed Wacker, 2 Batteries, Charger and Spool Included (LSTE525)

The BLACK+DECKER LSTE525 combines a 12 inch string trimmer and a wheeled edger into a single 20V MAX battery powered tool. It is designed for homeowners who need to trim grass around edges, sidewalks, and yard boundaries without dealing with power cords or manual line bumping.

Line advancement is handled by the push button EASYFEED system, eliminating the need to tap the trimmer head against the ground. The tool features a two speed control switch, allowing you to select higher torque via the PowerDrive transmission for tough growth or drop to a lower speed to conserve battery life. It also transforms into an edger using its integrated wheel guide, while the adjustable handle and height shaft let you customize the setup for ergonomic comfort.

As a 12 inch trimmer, it covers a smaller cutting path per pass than larger outdoor tools. Additionally, while marketed under the 20V MAX system, the battery operates at a nominal output of 18 volts under normal workload conditions.

Verdict: This trimmer and edger dual tool is ideal for users seeking a lightweight cordless solution for small to medium yard detailing. The inclusion of two batteries, a charger, and a spool makes it a complete, convenient kit for routine lawn maintenance.
