EGO POWER+ String Trimmer, Battery Powered, 16" Trimmer for Weeds and Grass with POWERLOAD, Telescopic Carbon Fiber Shaft, Battery and Charger Not Included - ST1610T

The EGO Power+ ST1610T is a 16-inch cordless string trimmer designed to clear heavy weeds and trim lawn edges without handling gasoline, pull cords, or restrictive power cables. Built for residential yard upkeep, this tool provides a practical solution for maintaining borders, fence lines, and overgrown patches. It fits homeowners who want efficient cutting performance alongside ergonomic adjustment features for longer trimming sessions.

One of its key features is POWERLOAD technology, which simplifies string replacements. Rather than manually disassembling the head or hand-winding fresh line, you insert the professional-grade dual line spiral-twist 0.095-inch trimmer line into the head and press a button to wind it automatically in seconds. Additionally, the shaft is constructed from carbon fiber for durability while keeping overall weight down. A quick-adjust auxiliary handle and a telescopic shaft design allow you to change the length rapidly to suit your height, improving balance and comfort while working.

Under the hood, a high-efficiency brushless motor delivers consistent cutting capability while keeping tool vibration low. This motor design also supports longer runtimes and helps extend overall motor life. A broad 16-inch cutting swath allows you to cover more area per pass, speeding up work on larger lawns. For added durability in outdoor environments, the tool features an IPX4-rated weather-resistant construction that stands up to light moisture and splashing water.

A key consideration for prospective buyers is that this package comes strictly as the standalone tool. The required 56V ARC Lithium battery and charger are not included, so you must already own compatible EGO batteries or buy them separately. Runtime will vary depending on which capacity battery you use, though pairing it with the recommended 56V 2.5Ah ARC Lithium battery yields up to 45 minutes of continuous operation on a single charge.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ ST1610T is a top-tier option for property owners seeking painless line reloading and customizable height settings. It is best suited for buyers who already participate in the EGO 56V battery platform or are ready to invest in the system for fast, convenient yard care.
