DEWALT 60V MAX Cordless Lawn Edger Kit, FLEXVOLT Battery & Charger Included (DCED472X1)

The DEWALT 60V MAX Cordless Lawn Edger Kit (DCED472X1) offers a cordless solution for establishing clean, defined borders along walkways, driveways, and garden beds. Powered by an included FLEXVOLT battery and charger, this lawn edger gives homeowners and groundskeepers high-voltage cutting power without relying on extension cords or gas fuel.

Cutting performance comes from a 7-1/2 inch hardened steel blade with adjustable depth settings up to 2-1/2 inches. A large guide wheel helps steer the tool smoothly along concrete edges for steady control. Operation is managed through a variable trigger alongside dual high and low speed modes, allowing you to optimize cutting force for tough roots or conserve runtime during lighter maintenance.

Versatility is enhanced by DEWALT Universal Attachment capability, which lets the power head connect with compatible tool accessories. As for trade-offs, the listing does not mention the total weight of the edger with the battery attached, nor does it detail exact runtime per charge or total shaft length. Buyers should also note that 60V MAX FLEXVOLT equipment represents a heavier-duty system than standard 20V yard tools.

Verdict: This cordless kit is ideal for homeowners who want clean lawn edges and already use or plan to expand into the DEWALT FLEXVOLT tool ecosystem. The combination of depth adjustment, variable speed control, and universal attachment support makes it a practical, multi-purpose investment for serious yard maintenance.
