DongCheng 40V 16-Inch Brushless Cordless Chainsaw with 2x4.0Ah Batteries – Gas-Like Power for Tree Felling, Storm Cleanup & Firewood, Tool-Free Tensioning, Auto Oiler, Chain Brake

The DongCheng 40V 16-Inch Brushless Cordless Chainsaw provides heavy-duty cutting capability for property owners tackling tree felling, storm cleanup, and firewood prep without the hassle of gasoline equipment. Operating on two 20V 4.0Ah batteries working together, it produces 40V of total power while eliminating gas fumes, engine maintenance, and loud exhaust noise.

At the center of the design is a high-torque brushless motor engineered for efficient power delivery. This high-efficiency system allows users to complete up to 120 cuts through 4x4 lumber on a single charge. Routine adjustments are straightforward thanks to an external tensioning knob that lets you tweak the 16-inch chain in seconds without using hand tools. Additionally, an integrated automatic oiling system keeps the bar and chain continuously lubricated during cutting tasks, reducing component wear and ongoing upkeep.

Safety features include an inertia-activated chain brake designed to stop chain rotation in less than 0.1 seconds if kickback occurs, paired with a lock-out switch to prevent accidental start-ups. Because the saw uses two 20V 4.0Ah battery packs, these power units can also be shared with other power tools in the DongCheng 20V and 40V lineup, helping reduce battery clutter around your workshop or garage.

As a trade-off, achieving maximum runtime and runtime balance requires fully charging both 4.0Ah batteries before your first cutting session. Managing a dual-battery system also means remembering to charge two batteries simultaneously rather than just one. Furthermore, while the listing outlines automatic oiling capabilities, it does not state reservoir capacity or oil level indicator details.

Verdict: This cordless 16-inch chainsaw is ideal for homeowners and DIYers who need serious cutting strength for storm recovery, wood cutting, and tree maintenance without managing gas engines. Its tool-free adjustments and safety brake make it an approachable choice for large cutting jobs.
