EGO POWER+ Chain Saw, 16” Battery Powered Chainsaw, Electric Cordless, Includes 56V 4.0Ah Battery and Charger – CS1613

The EGO Power+ CS1613 16-inch cordless chainsaw brings battery powered convenience to yard maintenance and wood cutting. Designed for homeowners handling tree branches, soft wood, and hardwood, this tool pairs standard electric operation with gas level performance. Included with the chainsaw are a 56V 4.0Ah ARC Lithium battery and matching charger, making it a complete kit for outdoor cleaning and cutting tasks.

At the core of the tool is a high-efficiency brushless motor that generates power equivalent to a 40cc gas engine. It reaches chain speeds up to 20 m/s, allowing the 16-inch bar and chain to move quickly through thick wood. The chain uses a 3/8-inch pitch, a 0.043-inch gauge, and 56 drive links to deliver clean cuts across various wood types. With the supplied 4.0Ah battery, you can complete up to 130 cuts on 4x4 lumber, while the system is rated for up to 220 cuts per charge depending on the application.

Usability features focus on straightforward maintenance and flexible operation. Chain tensioning is handled with a simple twist dial, eliminating the need to disassemble parts or search for hand tools when adjusting the chain. The body features an IPX4 weather resistant construction for working in variable outdoor conditions. Additionally, the low profile tensioning dial sits flush enough against the housing to permit cuts right at ground level.

While the saw works with all EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries, buyers should note that cut counts vary by material size, maxing out at 130 cuts when slicing 4x4s with the 4.0Ah pack. Replacement setup requires matching the specific 16-inch length, 3/8-inch pitch, 0.043-inch gauge, and 56 drive link configuration. Additionally, the listing does not state details on chain oil capacity, total weight, or battery recharge duration.

Verdict: This cordless chainsaw is a strong choice for property owners who want 40cc gas equivalent cutting power without gasoline fuel mixing. Its tool-free tensioning dial, weather resistance, and flush cutting design make it well suited for trimming branches and cutting lumber around the home.
