Detailed Review
The Greenworks 40V 12-Inch Cordless String Trimmer is designed for homeowners who need a convenient tool for routine lawn edge maintenance and trimming grass around sidewalks, garden beds, and landscaping. Powered by an included 40V 2.0 Ah battery and charger, it provides cordless operation without needing gas fuel or power cables.
A 12-inch cutting path equipped with 0.065-inch dual line delivers clean cuts through grass and light weeds. The automatic feed line system advances the trimming line during operation without requiring you to bump the head against the ground. A variable-speed trigger gives you direct control over power output, allowing lower speeds for delicate edging work and higher power for denser patches.
Because this model features a 0.065-inch line diameter and a 12-inch cutting path, it is built specifically for regular yard upkeep rather than thick brush or heavy thickets. The product listing does not state total battery runtime per charge, so owners of larger properties may need to plan trimming sessions accordingly.
Verdict: This cordless string trimmer is a practical choice for homeowners seeking an easy-to-handle tool for light yard maintenance. Its automatic line advancement, variable speed trigger, and included battery make routine lawn edging straightforward.
