Greenworks 80V 16 in Cordless String Trimmer, 2.0 Ah Battery

The Greenworks 80V 16-Inch Cordless String Trimmer offers a clean, instant-start solution for clearing tough grass and weeds around your yard. Designed for homeowners who want gas-like cutting capability without fuel, oil mixtures, or engine maintenance, this tool pairs high-voltage battery power with simple electric operation.

At the heart of the trimmer is a TruBrushless motor built to deliver increased torque, quiet operation, and long equipment life. A wide 16-inch cutting path uses a dual .008-inch line setup to clear large areas efficiently. When line runs low, the bump feed head lets you advance fresh line quickly while working. You can also adjust cutting speed on the fly using the variable speed trigger, making it easy to ease back power near sensitive plants, shrubs, and garden borders.

While the included 2.0 Ah battery recharges rapidly in 30 minutes, buyers with larger properties may need to plan around the run time of a single 2.0 Ah battery pack. Additionally, the line head uses .008-inch line, which is designed for standard trimming rather than heavy brush clearing. The listing also does not specify the total tool weight or overall shaft length.

Verdict: This string trimmer is a strong choice for homeowners needing reliable yard clearing power without gas fumes or engine maintenance. Its fast 30-minute charging time and variable speed control make it practical for routine lawn maintenance around gardens and fences.
