Agri-Fab Pull Behind Broadcast Spreader for Seed, Fertilizer, Salt and Ice Melt, 130 lb Hopper Capacity with Universal Hitch and 12 Ft Spread Width

The Agri-Fab Pull Behind Broadcast Spreader is designed to take the manual labor out of caring for expansive yards. By hitching directly to a lawn tractor or riding mower, it allows homeowners to treat large acreage without pushing a heavy manual spreader across high grass or rough ground.

At the core of its design is a large 130 lb capacity poly hopper capable of covering up to 25,000 square feet, or roughly half an acre, on a single fill. This generous capacity minimizes unnecessary stops for refills during large projects. Its universal hitch connects easily to most standard riding lawn mowers and lawn tractors, including Craftsman, Husqvarna, and Cub Cadet. As you tow, the system distributes material across a broad 10 ft to 12 ft spread width, providing even seed or fertilizer coverage in fewer passes across the lawn.

Built for versatile, all-season performance, this spreader works equally well for distributing grass seed and lawn treatments during growing seasons, as well as salt and ice melt during winter months. Its durable construction incorporates 1-inch steel tubing, an enclosed gear house for protected internal components, a poly hopper and spreader plate, and large 13 in x 4 in pneumatic tires that roll smoothly over bumpy terrain. The unit is built by Agri-Fab in Sullivan, Illinois, using global materials.

As a pull-behind unit, this spreader relies entirely on a riding mower or tractor with a compatible hitch, making it unsuited for property owners without towing equipment. Its sizable hopper and tow-frame design also require dedicated storage space in a garage or shed compared to compact walk-behind models.

Verdict: The Agri-Fab 130 lb spreader is an ideal pick for property owners managing up to half an acre who want to streamline lawn care using their existing tractor. Its heavy-duty frame, wide distribution path, and multi-season functionality deliver reliable performance across every season.
